The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) 2027 will run from 13 to 23 January 2027 at the Lusail Stadium Precinct in Lusail, Qatar. Organised by Visit Qatar, QIFF is a free-entry culinary festival that brings together local and international restaurants, chefs, food entrepreneurs and hospitality brands. The 2027 programme includes food vendors, interactive workshops, daily entertainment and live cooking demonstrations. Daily opening hours for 2027 have not yet been announced.

Overview QIFF

QIFF is Qatar's largest annual culinary celebration, built around the country's food, beverage and hospitality scene. It is a public festival rather than a closed trade fair: restaurants, cafés, food entrepreneurs and hospitality brands serve visitors directly, while chefs run live demonstrations and masterclasses.

The festival has grown steadily in recent years. The 14th edition, in 2025, drew more than 365,000 visitors over 11 days with 180 vendors. The 15th edition, in 2026 at the 974 Stadium Precinct, welcomed 490,493 visitors over 10 days, the highest attendance in the festival's history. It featured 200 local vendors, 46 international vendors (a 43% increase on the previous edition) and more than 50 local and international chefs. The QIFF Awards were introduced that year.

The 2027 edition moves to the Lusail Stadium Precinct and continues the format of food vendors, workshops, daily entertainment, and live cooking by award-winning chefs.

Who Should Attend QIFF 2027

QIFF is aimed at the general public. Free entry and family-friendly programming make it suited to:

• Food enthusiasts looking for local and international cuisines in one place
• Families, including children's activities (the 2026 edition had a dedicated QIFF Juniors zone)
• Culinary professionals and aspiring cooks who want to watch chef demonstrations and join workshops
• International tourists: visitors from outside Qatar made up about 10% of 2026 footfall, while Qatari nationals were the largest group at 22.1%

If you are researching the event as a potential vendor or sponsor, the visitor mix matters more than raw numbers: this is a consumer audience, and success depends on food quality, queue handling, and visibility at the kiosk.

What Exhibitors Can Expect at QIFF 2027

Exhibitors at QIFF are vendors serving the public, not buyers meeting suppliers at a trade stand. Recent editions have included restaurants, cafés and food brands from Qatar and abroad, along with named activations such as the Cooking Studio, QIFF Ring (food challenges), Dinner in the Sky and a Market area. The 2027 zone line-up has not been published, so treat these as 2026 references.

Practical considerations for food and hospitality exhibitors include:

• Serving and sampling flow: a counter and queue layout that moves people past the menu board and payment point without blocking neighbours
• Food-safe surfaces and storage: washable work surfaces, and cold or dry storage sized to a full festival day
• Visibility from a distance: fascia and menu signage readable from the walkway, especially for evening trading
• Evening trading conditions: the 2026 edition operated in the afternoon and evening, so lighting matters

Exhibiting at QIFF 2027

A QIFF kiosk has a hard job. It has to stand out in a crowded food area, hold a queue, keep service fast, and still look like your brand from across the walkway. A basic counter rarely does all of that.

If you have secured, or are applying for, a kiosk or space, the design and build plan is worth settling early: layout, branding, lighting, electrical points, and how the unit will be installed and dismantled within the organiser's schedule.

1. Confirm what the organiser provides. Ask whether the kiosk is a standard unit or an open plot, what size it is, and how much customisation is allowed.
2. Utilities. Confirm power, water, and any gas or ventilation allowances in writing before designing equipment layout.
3. Menu and service flow. Decide the queue direction, order point, payment point and pickup point before the counter is drawn.
4. Storage. Plan for stock, packaging and waste, and check what the organiser allows on site.
5. Branding assets. Prepare logos, menu boards and signage files early, with the organiser's size and content limits in mind.
6. Approvals. Check which structures, signage or equipment need organiser or authority sign-off.
7. Move-in and move-out windows. Setup and dismantling dates for QIFF 2027 have not been published. Get them from the organiser before booking installation crews.
